Climate Change
LAST YEAR WE DID>>>
Climate change is finally at the top of the political agenda and is now seen as being an issue of global concern. The Government has recently launched the Climate Change Bill that contains provisions that will set a legally binding target for reducing UK carbon dioxide emission by at least 26 per cent by 2020 and at least 60 per cent by 2050, compared to 1990 levels.

The Northampton Climate Change Forum welcomed David Kidney MP for Stafford and Northampton's Sally Keeble MP to a well supported and informative meeting held at The University of Northampton, Avenue Campus on Thursday, 9th July.
Katie Parsonson of The Umbrella Fair Organisation ran a poster competition among local schools where children were asked to illustrate their environmental concerns. The winner of the poster competition was chosen by David Kidney - Katie Parsonson and Sally Keeble are seen (above) with the winning entry.
