Stalls booking

The Umbrella Fair stalls booking form for 2012 is now ready for download.

We plan to have a change in layout this year by creating Villages around themes, such as children's area, healing area and so on.

Its very much in the early stages of planning but we hope to have an exciting and diverse range of stalls this year, from Community groups to commercial stalls.

Launch of Energy Efficiency Advice service...

Launch of Energy Efficiency Advice Information & Support Service 

A new service giving energy efficiency advice information and support has been launch in Northampton by the Umbrella Fair Organisation.

Kaplick Stage

In other news the fair is excited to welcome the Kaplick stage to this years event, over the last few years this amazing solar powered stage have really made a name for themselves on the green and underground festival circuits.With the great ambience they create along with the brilliant sound its set to bring a new aspect to the umbrella fair.The stage is powered 100% by renewable sources and all the crews vehicles are run on old chip fat.The crew will also be hosting workshops on solar energy.

Performance news

 Well the applications to perform at this years fair are coming in thick and fast, so many excellent local acts its going to be difficult for the stage managers who will be choosing the final line-ups in May, still plenty of time to apply though!

Bicycle Generators

The Umbrella Fair Organisation are planning a weekend workshop to build 2 bicycle powered generators.This will be an informal collective to try and pool our knowledge and talents to make it happen! There will be free drinks and lunch provIded and all the parts costs will be paid for by the UFO.Its hoped this will take place on sat 10th/sun11th March from 10 am til 6 ish, in Northampton.If you'd like to be involved please message Mel for more details and pass it on xxxx (01604 784499 or  This email address is being protected from spambots. There is no car parking provided for visitors, please walk, cycle, or bus to get to us.

The site is accessible and mainly flat with disabled toilets on site.

The Fair relays on grants, donations and income from stall holders fees to pay for the event to happen. The entire Fair is is organised by local unpaid volunteers.  To run an event such as ours does costs money to pay for anything from the insurance to the site decorations.
