What's on at the Pavilion

We offer live music from punk, reggae, motown and folk, as well as regular DJ sets. There is something for everyone.

 

Over Summer and Winter we have a wide range of activities inside the Pavilion or on our lawn - family fun days, fairs and creative workshops.

 

Drop in on a Wednesday to Sunday, to enjoy our cafe and artspace, for some time out and to look at our current gallery exhibition.

Who Are You: Express Yourself Art Exhibition By Marvin Mudzongo

Kudzanai or 'Marvin'... is a multifaceted spiritual light being with a visionary perspective and expressive nature.

 

From spoken word to poetry, music to creative arts and from graphic design to illustration Marvin is not limited in creative ways to define himself or express his explorations and discoveries. As he shares an introspective journey through a visual perspective... using imagination as a tool and guide to self development or spiritual enlightenment.

 

Marvin delivers therapeutic art workshops through his enterprise Lemonpop Workshops, providing self development arts programs based on the philosophy that are making is central to healing and wellness improving challenging executive functioning skills, increases self-esteem and stimulates creativity and imagination.

Northampton Samba Rebels

Northampton Samba Rebels will be holding regular bi-monthly practices at the Umbrella Pavilion. All welcome including new comers and beginners, there is wheelchair access. Come and make a big noise with our friendly community samba band :)

Northampton SOUP

 

Join us for another of Northampton Soup's events. Gather your friends and family on a Sunday with a difference. 3 to 4 pitches will take the stage with projects that benefit Northampton. All donations will revert in favor of the winning project.

 

Suggested donation: £5 (includes soup, bread and a vote).

Nice Crows and Other Cats: A Sophie Williams Art Exhibition

 

An exhibition of the art work of painter Sophie Williams during April with a launch event to be confirmed. Sophie Williams' medium is oil paints with driftwood as her canvas. Her expressionistic studies of animals, nature and people explore light and colour in a sublime way.

Make Space - Art and Craft sessions

Every Monday

11am-2pm

Come and have a make, with individual and group projects. As we get to know you we can make the things available you like most. Activity and community for people with learning disabilities. Jane Lasseter is a Registered Dramatherapist with over 20- years experience of delivering the arts with people with learning disabilities. £10 per session Carers free Umbrella Cafe open throughout.

Crafternoon

Every Tuesday

1.30-4.30pm

 

Reusing, up-cycling and creating alternative arts and crafts.

 

This activity is suitable for all ages, everyone is welcome.
 

The sessions are open to everyone and are by donation/pay as you feel.

All sessions are 1.30 pm - 4 pm and you are welcome to stay for the whole session or just a bit if you haven't much time.

Tai Chi
Every Tuesday

Experience the benefts of Tai Chi - harmony of mind and body - combines deep breathing, relaxation with flowing movements.

Sing and Sign session

Every Wednesday

11am - 1pm

 

Have fun learning some Makaton songs - the sessions help to raise funds for SIGN2SING. We'll also play percussion and music instruments during the session.

Health Walks on the Racecourse Park

Meet 11.15am at the Pavilion

 

Everyone is welcome on this accessible walk around the Racecourse.

 

Meet new people and enjoy a refreshing walk. We'll finish off at the Pavilion where the Cafe provides tasty snacks and hot drinks.
